Explore the 15th-century Maq'ad (Reception Hall) of Sultan Qaytbay in the Northern Cemetery.
Historical Overview
Established in 1474 CE (879 AH) by Sultan al-Ashraf Qaytbay. While it forms part of the wider urban ensemble created by the Sultan in the Eastern Cemetery, it is an independent architectural monument (Reg. 101) located on Darb al-Saqiya Street, separate from his main funerary complex.

A rare surviving Mamluk reception hall (maq'ad) situated in the historic cemetery context.
