Historical Overview
Constructed in the mid-11th century by Fatimid Caliph al-Zahir li-I'zaz Din Allah. It consists of a square chamber topped with a dome on muqarnas squinches. The attribution to Abu al-Qasim al-Tayyib is traditional.

A classic example of 11th-century Fatimid funerary architecture.
