Historical Overview

Built in 1500 CE (906 AH) by Sultan al-Adil Tumanbay I. This historic dome should not be confused with Tumanbay II (who was executed at Bab Zuweila). Currently, it is located within a military area (Bab 2) and is heavily restricted.

Why Visit?

A significant royal Mamluk dome whose access is unfortunately restricted due to its military zoning.
