Visit the 14th-century Bahri Mamluk Mausoleum of Tashtamur, locally known as Hummus Akhdar, in the Northern Cemetery.

Historical Overview

Constructed in 1334 CE (735 AH) by Tashtamur al-Badri al-Nasiri. This Bahri Mamluk dome, affectionately known as 'Hummus Akhdar' (Green Chickpeas), is located just behind the famous Qaytbay Complex but is an independent historic monument.
