Historical Overview
The registered historic monument is a 1460 CE (865 AH) Circassian Mamluk stone dome built by Inal bin Abdullah. It houses the tomb of the celebrated mystic poet Umar ibn al-Farid. The site functions today as an active shrine and mosque.
