Historical Overview
Established before 1348 CE (749 AH) by Khawand Tughay al-Nasiriya (Umm Anuk), wife of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad. Although much of the original khanqah has perished, substantial remains still survive, including the qibla iwan, parts of the Sufi cells, and the mausoleum dome.
Why Visit?
One of the most significant and romantic architectural ruins in the Eastern Mamluk Cemetery.
