Historical Overview
Established in 1455 CE (860 AH) by Zaynab bint al-Ala'i, the wife of Sultan al-Ashraf Inal. This independent charitable foundation (ribat) is officially registered (Reg. 61) in the Khurunfush area and is distinct from Sultan Inal's own funerary complex in the Northern Cemetery.

A rare example of a Mamluk female patron's charitable foundation (ribat) surviving within the historic city.
