Historical Overview

Constructed between 1479 and 1481 CE (884-886 AH) by Amir Yashbak min Mahdi. Also known as Qubbat Yashbak al-Dawadar, this structure is renowned for its unusual architectural design—the massive dome is elevated over a ground floor of three vaulted halls. Its foundational inscription bears the name of Sultan Qaytbay, reflecting royal patronage.
