Historical Overview

Originally constructed in 1148 CE (543 AH) by Fatimid Caliph al-Zafir. It was extensively rebuilt in 1735 CE (1148 AH) during the Ottoman era by Amir Ahmad Katkhuda Mustahfizan al-Kharbutli. It retains Fatimid remnants while showcasing Ottoman redesign.
