Founded in 1451 CE (855 AH) by Sultan al-Zahir Jaqmaq bin Abd Allah. Registered as monument No. 180, this cruciform madrasa originally featured numerous subsidiary spaces for students, though many of these have been lost over time.

A royal Mamluk foundation preserving the classic four-iwan madrasa layout despite the loss of some of its original residential wings.
