Historical Overview
Established in 1448–1449 CE (852–853 AH) by Amir Yahya bin Abd al-Raziq. Also known as Zayn al-Din Yahya Mosque or Al-Mahkama Mosque due to its historical use as a court. It is the oldest of the major historic mosques in Bulaq.
Why Visit?
A cornerstone of Bulaq's Mamluk heritage and its oldest surviving monumental mosque.
