Explore Qubbat al-Ja'fari on Al-Khalifa street, a 12th-century Fatimid memorial shrine.
Historical Overview
Constructed between 1120–1125 CE (514–519 AH). Traditionally attributed to Muhammad bin Ja'far al-Sadiq, it is highly probable that it was built as a 'Vision Shrine' (Mashhad al-Ru'ya) rather than containing an actual burial.
