Historical Overview

Built in 1511 CE (917 AH) by Amir Qurqumas Min Wali al-Din. Originally located in Al-Gamaliya adjacent to the Al-Hakim Mosque, the dome was meticulously relocated to its current site in the Eastern Mamluk Cemetery. It is distinct from the larger Funerary Complex of Amir Qurqumas (1505-1507) located elsewhere in the cemetery.
