Historical Overview
Al-Andalus Garden is a historic landscaped garden on Gezira Island in Zamalek, overlooking the Nile and incorporating Andalusian-inspired architectural and decorative elements. It is one of Cairo’s older formal public gardens and offers a quieter green-space stop close to the Opera House, Cairo Tower and central Zamalek. Cairo Governorate currently lists the garden as open and publishes a low public admission fee, although the displayed time range is ambiguous and should not be relied on as a precise closing-hour statement without same-day confirmation.
