Discover a richly decorated nineteenth-century Nile-side palace pavilion on Rawda Island, where carved wooden balconies, painted ceilings and ceremonial halls preserve one of Cairo's finest surviving royal-era interiors.

Historical Overview

Built in 1850–1851 CE (1267 AH) by Hasan Fu'ad Pasha al-Manasterly. The surviving pavilion overlooks the Nile with stunning wooden and geometric decorations. It houses the Umm Kulthum Museum in its annex.
