Green Lake / Wishwashi Pool

Wishwashi Pool, sometimes called Green Lake, is a natural mountain pool reached through a canyon-and-hiking route in the Nuweiba area. The pool appears after seasonal water accumulation and is not a guaranteed year-round swimming site. Reaching it usually requires local guidance, scrambling through rocky terrain and attention to flash-flood risk. Because conditions can change rapidly after rain, the site should be treated as a weather-dependent hiking destination rather than a fixed attraction. It is best understood in combination with nearby historic sites rather than as a standalone sightseeing destination.
